Kabo Yang, Ph.D.

Kabo Yang established Legend Consulting Services in 2011 to support and strengthen leaders through leveraging their identity, experiences and expertise. She has worked with nonprofit organizations and units of government to develop leadership programs, partner with leaders to navigate complex situations, and facilitate learning sessions related to leadership, personal growth and team development.

Since 2007, Kabo has immersed herself in community through volunteering, board service and consulting. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration, masters' degrees in organizational leadership and human and organizational systems, and a doctoral degree and human and organizational systems. She is an adjunct professor in the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at St. Catherine University and in the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

Being a former refugee, a Hmong woman, and a working class single parent are the most significant influences of her identity. These shape her approaches to her work, her own consulting and her life-long pursuits.
